Seeing lots of mixed reviews on Laura Lippman's 'What The Dead Know' fueled my curiosity as to why so many hated it and others loved it.
This read was not for me, sadly. I am not the one to stop reading a book simply because I do not like it. However, this book just happened to be the first one I wanted to stop reading. For the life of me, I could not get into it. It does not help that I was extremely confused no mater how many times I reread it.
We were introduced to more than two perspectives so it was hard to keep up. Most times I felt as if the author was repeating the same thing just in different point of views so it became very boring. I tried my best to get into this read or even finish it but it was too choppy for me.
The synopsis is about two sisters who disappeared long ago and so many years later, one of the Bethany sisters makes it known that she survived. There are people who loved this story and I am thrilled that they did yet I am extremely upset that I did not enjoy it whatsoever.
